Welcome Message From The President

Welcome to the website of the Cambridgeshire Association for Local History ("CALH"). Our aim is to provide an umbrella service for all the local and social history societies in Cambridgeshire. We also arrange monthly lectures and conferences from October to May and organise guided tours within the county and beyond during the summer months.

The purpose of this site is threefold: to publicise the events and annual awards organised by the Association, to promote our in-

house publications and, last but not least, to provide a portal for our member societies so that interested parties have a single nexus for information and contact details.

Please browse the site to find out what's on offer. If you are seeking information on a particular locality or subject, why not use the site search facility?

We always welcome new members to the Association - whether Individual, Family, Junior, Corporate, Affiliated & Associate Membership benefits include free or reduced entry fees to our lecture
programme, Conferences, Workshops and Excursions depending on the class of memebership, plus free entry to other society lectures that we are affiliated to, as well as free subscription to all of our publications (see panel to right). See the Contact page for details on how to become a member.

We hope you find this website useful and we look forward to meeting you.
